Is there any way to turn off the tasks in the Task Scheduler in Vista?

Hi Chris,

Right click the task and choose "disable".

Another similar question...if task scheduler has defrag scheduled for
say 1AM,
and the computer is OFF, will it turn itself ON and do the disc defrag
??

Mine was set up for that time, and the defrag history said it was
done on that
date....but, no way was the computer ON at that time of night.
