I recently installed Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0.0.357 on my Windows Vista
Ultimate. When it scanned for the first time, it found a
trojan.win32.monder.gen attached to the efcBtsSi.dll. After this I received
about 50 alerts alarming that Windows Explorer is trying to access this
harmed .dll file. The antivirus software asked me if i wanted to delete the
efcBtsSi.dll and I agreed. After this Vista stopped responding, the color
scheme changed, the sidebar and the taskbar were white and without icons. I
tried to open control panel, but an error message appeared saying I don't
have permission to access Control Panel. Then I restarted the computer.
Windows started normally, but then a message showed up informing that
"efcBtsSi.dll was not found". My question is what does efcBtsSi.dll do and
can I do without it, or I should download it from somewhere?

Google returns no hits for this particular dll file...which is strange
especially if it's a valid dll file.

My gut reaction is, that it was installed via another program which
automatically loads when Windows starts.......therefore is looking for
the deleted dll and it's not found....hence the error message.

If you downloaded and installed any software from the internet from
unknown valid sources, especially before you installed your virus
scanner, I would be taking a really good look at them.
