I have Vista home premium and Windows Explorer has been closing down
and restarting a lot.  The Start bar will also disappear without
warning and I have to restart explorer.exe to get it back.  Any idea
what's wrong?

Hi,

Do you have toolbars installed in either Explorer or Internet Explorer?
These addons, such as those suppied by google and yahoo, are frequently the
cause of these errors, as both functions use essentially the same file set.

I have the same problem, and I don't have any toolbars installed. I can't
access Control panel as this will close down explorer as well..
