using Windows Vista Ultimate

When I try to start the service, it returns

"error 4201: the instance name passed was not recognized as valid by a WMI
data provider"

Thanks for your help.

I'm having the same issue on my Windows Vista Ultimate (upgraded over XP,
due to laziness :P)...

What's odd is the Event Log Service *was* working fine for a couple days and
now I get the 4021 error when I try to start it.

Weird.
