I have just jumped from 98 to Vista but my scanner (Canon) and printer
(Lexmark) were both fairly new so I have tried to install them on my new
computer. They are both showing up as installed, but when I try to use the
scanner is says 'no power' (it draws power from the computer via usb and IS
hooked up) and the printer just isn't taking instructions through the
computer - nothing shows up on print ques etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Also I am using Modzilla and it doesn't want to let me load up any of the
microsoft pages? Is this normal?

And finally (!!) I transferred all my music files from my old computer and
the new one, using Windows media centre, won't let me play them quoting 'drm
licence' or similar. When I try to get a licence, it says I don't have the
right windows 'plug ins'. The music was all mine, but I just can't be
bothered reloading it all over again.

thank you in advance to anyone who can help

1.  Did you get the Vista drivers from the Canon and Lexmark websites and
install them BEFORE you connected the scanner and printer to the new PC?
Since Vista was only released in January, I would not expect the CDs that
camer with the devices to have any knowledge of what Vista is.

2.  Yes, it's perfectly normal for Mozilla not to correctly display
Microsoft pages.  Use Internet Explorer for when you want to connect to
them.

3.  You seem to have forgotten to transfer the licenses that were on the 98
PC. You did remember to back up the licenses, didn't you?  If not, you might
have lost them all.  All iTunes and other online legitimate music sites use
Digital Rights Management for their files.  You agreed to this when you
purchased the music.  Contact the site(s) in question for further
assistance.
