I need help badly.  The CP1700 is a wide format printer that prints up to
13X19".  The printer worked fine under xp.  I have just purchased a new
computer with vista64 home premium.  The printer is attached via usb.  Vista
recognizes the printer correctly and installs a printer driver.  However,
there is a bug with the driver as it will only allow printing to a max of
8.5X14.

I found the area in the registry that hase the maxx and y sizes and form
sizes.  I added the appropriate figures.  However, that has not allowed me to
print on any larger paper.  I assume the hive is overwriting the registry.
If I can't fix this I will have to go back to XP.

I even tried creating a virtual pc running xp so that I could print there.
However, I can't seem to get the virtualxp to recognize the usb port.  My new
computer doesn't have a parallel port.

Please, please, please help me here.  There must be a way to change the
largest paper size to 13X19.

Running Vista64 home premium on an intel core2 E6700 with 4GbRAM EVGA880GTS

Did you try Control Panel, Printers, then from the Toolbar, File, Server
Properties... try creating a new 'Form'.

Thanks for reply.  That doesn't work.  I have found through the HP business
site that this is a well known bug with this driver.  Until they update the
printer driver I am able to print large format to this printer by using the
driver for the deskjet 9800.
