Spooler sub system

Spooler Subsystem App stopped working keeps appearing when I try to print.  I
uninstall the driver, then re-install the driver and possibly get the printer
to work.  The next time the computer is turned on it is hit and miss whether
the printer will work (usually not)  The printer is a Lexmark X1270 and I
have received the correct drivr from Lexmark for the Vista.  I must say I am
getting completely frustrated with Vista being so gosh darn protective of my
computer and not allowing me to use my printer.  Makes me wish I never went
forward with the new computer or wish I would have gone the MacIntosh route
instead.  Please help I hate the feeling of wanting to throw my computer
against the wall everytime I go to print.

The article that was attached is for Windows XP - Is this the same procedure
for Windows Vista - I would hate to cause more problems following old
directions.
