1. I am running as the local admin on a 32 bit RC2 box. (I can't get
profiles to roam properly so I'm running on local accounts:-((((

2. I am connected to the network and to the domain which is hosted by a pair
of Enterprise 2003 servers.

3. Add printer hangs / errors out Explorer when I try to find a network
printer.

Suggestions please.

Regards,
Al Christoph

Hi Al,
Create a new "Local Port"  using the \\PServername\share format

Go to Printers, select add printer, local printer ,create a new port, when
it asked for port name enter  \\PServername\share format
what ever this is for your print server. For me this \\3P_PRINTSERV262\LP1
or LP2 or LP3 ( I have three printer attached to my server.) This is the
name that shows up in Network.   After that it
askes to load the print driver and creates the port. Hope this helps
