not dumb, it's the last step when all others fail.

I am currently using an IBM Lenovo T61 Thinkpad notebook running Windows
Vista 32-bit Edition. I am experiencing problems with my EPSON CX3810
printer. The scanner part of the printer is working fine, but when I go
to print, I get an error message that says "Spooler SubSystem App has
stopped working". I've tried everything to fix this from reinstalling
the driver, deleting it out of the registry, and manually trying to
install the printer, but none of it has worked. I know I have downloaded
the right driver from EPSON and that it has worked in the past. (I
recently had my hard drive reimaged, and prior to the reimaging the
printer had worked fine). I have an EPSON Stylus 600 at home and that
works without a problem. Any help on this subject would be greatly
appreciated.

The most common cause of a spooler sub-system failure is indeed problems
with the printer driver(s). I suggest you try deleting the driver (again),
cleaning up, and re-installing the drivers.

This site might help with the driver clean-up.
