Hello,
New to this site and hoping that someone can help me out here.
I have a PSC2400 All-In-One printer that is connected to my desktop
computer running Windows XP SP2 (via USB cable). On the desktop, the
printer is shared as the network printer; I have another desktop
computer that is also running Windows XP SP2 and both computers can
print just fine.
On my notebook, I can see all the devices on my network including the
shared PSC2400 printer that is connected to the desktop but when when I
try to connect, I get access is denied message and will not connect.
I've tried HP support with no success so hoping for better results here.
Thanks in advance,
Ray

I'm guessing the notebook is Vista OS?

Have you try to make an local printer port on the Vista computer?

Add a printer
Add a local printer
Create a new port
Local Port
\\remotemachine\printershare
Select printer driver
Printer name

Perfect . . . followed your instructions and I'm good to go on my Vista
OS'd notebook. Gee and to think I spent hours with HP customer service
and got nowhere.  Customer service? Sadly to say that it was more like
customer run-around.
Thanks,
Ray

Ray, I take it you are new to dealing w/HP.  afa I'm concerned they have
some of the worst tech support help.
Take them off their script and forget it. Glad to see you got your printer
set up.
