I have a MFC-6800 Brother Laser Printer. Worked great till I got a new
computor with vista home premium. The drivers that come with vista make some
functions not work properly. Why can't microsoft supply the correct dribers
for this machine. It is only 5 years old?

Because MS doesn't write drivers for Brother printers. Brother has to write
and supply drivers for their printers to work with Vista.
Go to the Brother site and see if they have Vista drivers.

I had to get the Vista driver cd from Brother for my MFC 240c. I did
download the drivers but they didn't include the OCR software so I ordered
the cd. I wonder if you have to do the same for the MFC 6800. Brothers
