Hi,

I've installed Vista 5308 on second primary partition after XP. And yes,
there's always dual slection boot menu and guess what, today the boot menu
is gone! I still can boot my XP but It says error or missing boot.ini. I
have activate Vista and I suppose there's no evaluation limit period issue
isn't it? Have anyone experiece this? TIA.

To update boot sector code, use bootsect.exe from the boot folder of the
install media.

G:\boot>bootsect /help

bootsect {/help|/nt60|/nt52} {SYS|ALL|<DriveLetter>:} [/force]

Boot sector restoration tool

Bootsect.exe updates the master boot code for hard disk partitions in order
to
switch between BOOTMGR and NTLDR.  You can use this tool to restore the boot
sector on your computer.
.......
In 5270 you could use the FIXNTFS utility.
