installed vista over xp,
your words.......you have installed Vista OVER XP............no more XP
...no dual boot ..just Vista.............nothing else..nada.

New hard drives typically have zeros in every byte of every sector and is
not recognized by the operating system. Go into disk management and check
its status. You typically have to format it and maybe initialize it and
maybe make it active. Just formatting may initialize and make it active - I
haven't tried it on Vista yet.
