I have a 9k file with 101 identical copies of this text. The file is called debug.txt.
At 1st I'd expect it to be something Nero related.
But since the other day , Nero using another programs *.ax file and crashing left & right until I blocked Nero's access to the file by renaming it, I've found this debug.txt doesn't seem to be Nero related.

I can guarantee the file will create itself it just by running any Nero util.
I've been all thru Nero's settings to turn this file creation off, but found nothing.

Today, never used Nero, but here's the file again. I suspect it was created by DIVX, or an antique program that uses DIVX.

If no one has a clue what's creating this file, maybe someone knows of a file that I can run to match time and date of operating programs start, against the creation time of this file.

Or a way to turn this files creation off. It means squat to me. It's the same 4 lines repeated endlessly.

This is a Nero 7 issue, probably some accidental debug code left behind.
Hopefully it's fixed soon. You probably have this file on the root of
your primary drive, your Temp\ folder, etc.

yeah I think I mentioned it seems Nero related, but Nero isn't the only thing causing it.
I didn't even use Nero yesterday when it appeared. I suspect it came with a program that uses DIVX.
No matter, how do I dump this annoyance ?

Do a disk clean up. All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Clean

Ok here's another clue as to what it is. I can guarantee creating the file just by right clicking on a jpg file.
Not running anything. Just in a folder with some images. right click any one of them wait  a second or two and debug.txt appears.

Nero support said rename ahead to ahead2. and reinstall. then delete ahead2.
After 4 tries doing that, I'd say there's gotta be something else.

The problem is with Nero 7. If you use Add & Remove Programs to disable
the Image sections of Nero 7 the problem will go away. I just did it
tonight and debug.txt is no longer there.
I'm using XP Pro as I don't have Nero 7 installed on Vista but I'm sure
it's the same.

I also had this file 'debug.txt' keep on appearing in my c:\temp
directory. I used a hex editor and edited the file nero.exe, changing
the words c:\temp\debug.txt to c:\tamp\debug.txt  Since I don't usually
have a directory c:\tamp the file debug.txt does not appear anymore! You
can change the name to whatever you want, but make sure not to alter the
number of characters in the filepath or nero.exe will not run.

The easiest fix I found was to use a hex editor and edit the file
