I installed Skype on Vista (first normal version, then Beta), the program
runs perfectly. I see it on the menue bar below and even a small preview, but
when I click to restore it doesn't open in the full window.
I can receive calls and messages from friends, but not contact them myself
as the main window don't appear.
I think Vista is a grat project - just hope they will not wait until the end
of the year for a SP.

Do I understand correctly?  A beta version of skype is installed and it's
having problems?  If so have you contacted the software author?  Also you
state "the program runs perfectly" but then you list problems.  Which is it?

Yes, as the normal Skype had the sam problem I tried with the Beta version.
the program runs and I can talk and send messages as soon as a friend pops
up with the message window. But I can't open myself a message window as it is
not possible to see the main menue with my friends list. I cklick to open it
from the task bar but it doesn't show up.

Ok, I see.  Have you asked Skype tech support about it?

Yes, 6 days ago and I haven't got an answer yet. But as far as I know they
hardly will send an answer. I also read all the possible FAQ and whatever I
could find on Skype and Microsoft, but I didn't find anything that is
similar. Strange is, that the first day I installed Skype it was working.
Then I downloaded Microsoft Windows Live OneCare, which I later disinstalled
as I had real problems with Internet explorer and downloading. I don't know
if my problems with Skype could be for this Antivirus program.

I have seen some posts about problems with the latest version of Skype in
XP, but I know that doesn't help here.  Good luck, post back if you find a
resolution.
