Everywhere I go... people who have vista say it sucks! lol

I even try to defend vista.. try to explain that they are making a service
pack that
will fix problems..

they don't want to hear it! Vista sucks its slow and horrible...

that's what they say...

I installed dreamscene on one guys machine since he had ultimate...

he said what is this? Why would I like a movie on my desktop??? lol

I want to work fast without problems!

Fortunately that particular person has a dual boot system with XP.

And guess what OS he uses? XP! He boots to vista from time to time just so
he can say that he didnt waste all that money for nothing....

He told me.. "it was a bad buy.... vista isnt worth it."

I remained silent so I would not hurt his feelings by confirming this
reality.

that's easy - MS caters to the Vista fanboys who are so easily impressed
with the eye candy, that's why MS concentrates on these things instead of a
stable workable OS.

Let me guess... you saw the moron Frank make a couple smartass
references to somebody living in the basement of their mother's house
and you being a total idiot thought Frank was being clever. Damn, you
fanboys have a combined IQ that's below 100. Hint: That's called

You mean you are grouping me?
Then I group you with Aliass, Tiberculosis, wheelboy.
That's a hell of a inbred clan there.
Combined, the 4 of you may be able to order a pizza...tho I doubt the
Crybaby Clan could whip up the cash.
If you guys get together, maybe a computer tech could show you how to
install Vista.
Since it gives you idiots so much trouble.
You guys couldn't get a DVD to play properly.
Guess that's the OS's fault too !

No, Darwin already did and explains it rather nicely in his Theory of
Evolution and Natural Selection. You see you and Frank and some other
lunkhead fanboys hundreds of thousands of years ago probably descended
from some really fu*ked-up monkeys. That would account for you and
others loving bananas and always throwing feces around and screaming
and yelling a lot. It's called a regressive gene.

So while the human race has advanced rather nicely with offspring
being able to stand upright, talk and already be toilet trained by age
two or so at the latest, idiots like you still grunt, fart in public,
fail to wash your hands after going to the bathroom and of course you
regression is most noticeable in how you conduct yourself here. God,
please tell me to don't act as nuts and as uncivilized elsewhere in
your life and that you have been sterilized! Please don't breed!

I wash my hands !
And I am computer savvy enough to get Vista to run.
So are millions of other users.
You are not.
Really, if Vista is so hard for you to get running, the Geek Squad will come
out and gladly install/configure it for you.
And at your advanced stage of life, you should be preparing for your future.

The truth about Vista is it sucks. The more you use it, the more
obvious that becomes. Only dullards, hopeless Microsoft butt kissers
and just plain fools think Vista is wonderful. A prime example of the
type of people that think you can't do better than Vista is Frank, the
newsgroup moron and official buffoon in residence.

What does that suggest?
Sam - 12 Apr 2008 19:02 GMT
Nope.  You are overly-opinionated.  We use Vista because IT WORKS for us.

>Nope.  You are overly-opinionated.  We use Vista because IT WORKS for us.

It doesn't work well for others. Your point?

>You can't seem to comprehend that, can you?

Obviously you can't comprehend your experience isn't shared by many.
Accordingly you come across as a simpleton since you have an overly
simplistic view of the world.

I have discovered that those not experiencing problems with Windows
regardless of version limit their use of their computers to simplistic
tasks. Accordingly they rarely experience issues. Those that use their
computers more intensively logically will get exposed to more failing
embedded within Windows in a vain similar to a surgeon that limits his
practice to simple out patient surgery won't encounter life threating
complications as often as surgeons that perform difficult brain or
open heart surgery will.

It all boils down to HOW you use Windows. If you're a light weight
user, Vista scrapes by. If you're a serious user, lots of luck. Your,
odds of running into all kinds of issues increases markedly the harder
you push Windows, more so if you frequently multitask. This is one
issue shared by all versions of Windows, Vista included. Under load,
Windows tends to crash and do weird things more often.
Smithsonian - 12 Apr 2008 22:05 GMT

Um, "Microsoft communities" don't exist, sorry. You're posting to Usenet
which is a tad bigger than MS' Usenet servers. I know your Windows Fail

if you think its bad now, you should have seen a few months ago before the
news was starting to come out about how horrible vista is.
I was here alone telling everyone that vista has problems and will make many
people miserable...
Almost every prediction and observation I have said has been verified again
and again by users who state the very problems I was talking about
and a multitude of articles all over the internet are saying things I said
even before vista was released as RTM. a year ago!.

all they did was make fun of me and call me a troll...

now they are seeing the rest of the world say the same things..

yet they still persistently defend vista...

that is why they are called vista or vista fan boys.. they just don't want
to admit it.

they will never stop... even if bill gates comes out to say.." Im sorry we

How is that possible?  Do you own Bill's website's server(s)?  If so, don't
those cost money?  Sometimes, even, A LOT of money?  Couldn't you just delete
his website and sell the space to someone else?  And BTW, how can multiple
servers fit in one trash bin?  Maybe <i>one</i> could fit into a garbage CAN,
but a trash bin would definately be too small.  So, in conclusion, don't be a
server waster.

I have had a good experience with Vista so far.  The blue screens upon
startup...meh.  They'll get fixed eventually.  Not necessarily MS's fault.
There, I was honest.  Hooray.

Besides, you're not supposed to tell people that the pre-RTM beta sucks.  Of

I find it interesting that anyone who finds fault with Vista is right and
anyone who has had a reasonable experience with it is wrong or a fanboy.
I though most people post here to get help or to give help.
BTW, there are still posts from people asking for help on XP, 98, Linux and

>I find it interesting that anyone who finds fault with Vista is right and
>anyone who has had a reasonable experience with it is wrong or a fanboy.

I surely never suggested that. I simply point out fanboys are zealots
and try to suppress the FACT that Vista has bugs, problems, issues,
whatever you want to call it. I've said that from the beginning and
documented many and offered fixes for some. I haven't changed my story
at all... fanboys have. Constantly. Starting back in February
pretending Vista was fault free, never actually saying it in so many
words but implying as much. Then they morphed into if there's a
problem it is the user's fault to now where they sheepishly admit
Vista has problems alright but of course they've never had any
themselves, wink, wink.

>I though most people post here to get help or to give help.

I do. I also kick the fanboy crowd is their butts when it is obvious
they are spreading lies or acting like little children ranting and
raving. Two things they do constantly.

>BTW, there are still posts from people asking for help on XP, 98, Linux and
>Mac forums after all this time.

Which only confirms the truth is Vista is has bugs and problems too. I
never suggested any other version of Windows or another OS didn't.
Again, that would be the fanboy crowd that spreads whoppers and
deliberately lie and act up all the time. Why, you'd have to ask them.
Start with Frank. The biggest faker, liar and hot head of the bunch.

I counted 'em. 187 people have reported some difficulty with Vista since 1

More people than that have trouble with a spoon.

The operating system is no fun-Its repugnant-It takes all the enjoyment out
of using a computer.Since Microsoft is intent on shoving it down our throats,
I am simply going to install XP in this new computer and go on my merry
way.then i wont have to use windows defender(dont catch nothing) media player
10 which I love and window picture viewer(all optional on XP) and last but
not least Microsoft Fax and Picture viewer that XP has and Vista dont..
Its just a disgusting miserable computing experience.
It works alright-It just works lousy--
Ford Made The Edsel-Microsoft Made Vista
Just do like me if you dont like it--Get rid of it
I have to give Microsoft credit for putting up these posts-Maybe they want
to know how bad it really is..( they do)
Have a nice XP day

there is another picture viewer on vista that does the same thing as the fax
and picture viewer in XP...

whats the difference???

Windows Defender found Peergardions, malware (trojans and virus's) that
others did not pick up. BTW defender and IE7 and Windows Media Player 11
also work on XP.
You're statements are utterly false.

And BTW, been looking into those English classes yet?  Just FYI
How is Vista NOT fun compared to XP?  You get all those fancy Aero effects,

This is what you should do Kevin:

1)  Fill Bathtub.
2)  Power up your PC.
3)  Get in Bathtub.
4)  Grab PC.

Problem Solved.  Just FYI.

I also happen to think Vista was a waste of money and I would not have
purchased it had it not been for the fact that my college required me to
upgrade to Vista in order to continue my online classes. What I don't really
understand is why the people who are in support of Vista have such a problem
with the people who don't like Vista. It's almost like the Vista supporters
think the rest of us don't have the right to voice our displeasure about
Vista. Let's face it, unless an individual has plenty of money to spend on a
whole computer upgrade or purchase a high end computer system (which, I
definitely do not) then Vista just sucks! But I guess some of the people who
are in favor of Vista and don't want the rest of us to voice displeasure
about it, do have plenty of money to make those expensive upgrades and
therefore feel that there is nothing to complain about.

I seriously doubt your college required you upgrade to Vista continue their

chance.

If we were talking about a Rolls, your snotty reply would make sense.
But, being as the OP is *required* to have it and because of Microsoft's
strong arm tactics with OEMs, MOST people will have to buy it, your post

Not snotty at all. Apparently the college require it, so what does that have
to do with OEMs. Plus, the fact that one can't afford a product doesn't mean
that the product sucks.

You're right of course. Vista sucks even if one can afford it. Affordability

That idiot NoStop has been isolated since it was three years old.
Its why it thinks ubroketu is the future.
It (NoStop) also believes ubroketu is better than Vista....which shows years
of isolation leads to lunacy.
Only a hermit would find ubroketu "cost effective".

AlexB - 16 Feb 2008 01:24 GMT
>It is the responsibility and duty of everyone to help the underprivileged
>and less fortunate among us.

I disagree. It will lead to a disaster. People who cannot help themselves
should not be helped. If they try to do something and need only temporary
help, then help should be provided. Otherwise is it mess, scam and theft.
Most of the charities are the places for stealing.

Jimmy Carter, an ex-president idiot, began a project of habitat for humanity
outreach. According to The New York Times as of last spring he built 100,000
outhouses in Africa. My point is: people who cannot build their own outhouse
do not deserve one. On top of that, I am sure the actual figure is perhaps
close to 1,000, the rest of the money is being stolen here and on the way,
and of course at the construction sites and I bet the longevity of those
outhouses is perhaps 3 months at best.

I began reading this thread thinking that I might need to jump in defending
Vista against slander and defamation. While reading the posts I realized
that I am not really needed. A lot of excellent ideas were expressed all
positive for the most part. The anti-vista forces are in disarray and in
retreat. The sooner we see their demise the better.

Give a man a fish...he will eat for a day.
Teach a Man to fish...he will eat for a lifetime.

Most charities benefit the charity and the organizers.

Last time I read, the head of the Red Cross made 0.6 million a
year......wonder who is  being taken care of ?

I. myself, give to individuals....help those who want REAL help....not a
never-ending bad habit.

them: whether they're for or against anything, they're not really
representative samples. =)

It's of the most value all around to voice displeasure about specific and
exact pain points.  I recently was advocating a particular change to a
friend, and was told that it important to know that the community cared
about that specific aspect.  Thankfully I had good examples/advocacy because
I troll through a variety of forums, most of which are better mannered and
more well formed (since they're not awful UseNet groups)- but my point is:
be specific about your pain points.

What should likely happen, as it happened with XP, is that the general and
specific pain points will be whittled away at over time as Microsoft
releases Service Pack(s), QFEs, and updates, and as other vendors stabilize
or release updates.  My chief concern is that when people are *not* specific
about their pain points, that potentially leaves some unknown problem area
out there.

I've helped tons of people indirectly through the valuable and critical data
provided here.  I can't stress enough that if you can ignore (or killfile)
the trolls, there's a chance to either work together for positive good or,
failing sustained interest, to establish specific points of Bad that should
be looked at.

whomever changed all the Microsoft applications, and Vista itself so that it
is so different from Windows 2000, should be fired.  I fear it was Balmer.
Everything is so different and more difficult.  I have been using computers
for 10 years, and am still trying work arounds with this whole mess.
Something as easy as right clicking in Excel to print a document, is now
gone.  Now I have to go up to an icon and click on it.  A new operating
system and new office applications should be better not worse.  Look at the
amount of Windows XP users who do not want to install this kluge, and look at
the happy Apple operating systems folks who are happy.  Somebody is missing
the boat big time. I have sent suggestions like this one I just mentioned,
and no one appears to be answering the customers.  Microsoft is like the big
Three here in Detroit, they don't listen to customers and lose market share
hand over fist.  It doesn't make sense.

Then you're clueless.

Not really. It's different because you're not use to it. Certainly not
more difficult.

Mess? What "mess" are you referring to?

Uhhh...excel is a part of Microsoft Office, not Vista.

Now I have to go up to an icon and click on it.

That's funny...seeing as how I can right click on any document and print
it while in Vista.

  A new operating
> system and new office applications should be better not worse.

If you don't like Vista or Office '07 then why are you using them?

 Look at the
> amount of Windows XP users who do not want to install this kluge,...

No one is forced to install or use Vista.

Then buy an apple.

You?

I have sent suggestions like this one...

What suggestion? Sent to whom? All I see is mild bitching.

 I just mentioned,

Do you have a question concerning the operation or use of Vista?

 Microsoft is like the big

Really? You actually believe that?

 It doesn't make sense.

Your post doesn't make any sense.
