My sisters PCz keeps going to sleep. I changed power options to never but
each time she restarts the PC the settings go back to previous settings.
i have looked around here for answers but nothing applies to her pc.
all was fine before SP1 but i dont think that is the problem.

You may need to 'Create a power plan' (option in the left pane in Power
Options) and switch between your settings by switching plans.

I think it definitely must be a bug somewhere if you have the option to save
your settings but they get reset all the times.
Anyone having a better answer?

It's likely that you are seeing a Permissions problem. One of your device
drivers is having trouble. After you have every thing else installed, you
can reset the Permissions to default and see if that lets you get a Power
setting to 'take'

I do not think it has to do with SP1. On the contrary, it was worse for me
before the upgrade, then it re-set the options almost every time. Now after
the upgrade it has happened only a few times.
