Hello everyone,
I want to replace Windows Photo Gallery with Windows Live Photo Gallery, in
regards to functionality. Anything Vista used Photo Gallery for, I want it to
use Windows Live Photo Gallery instead. I know how make Live Photo Gallery
the default viewer for seperate images; I want it to totally replace Vista's
Photo Gallery. In other words, anything that has anything to do with Photo
Gallery, I want Live Photo Gallery to open, execute, etc. Can this be done?

Type "default programs" in the start menu and select "Default Programs".
You can then set what you want with Live and the none Live versions in the
"Set your default programs" section.

Thanks for the reply. I know about that--what I was hoping to do was get
WLPG to act as an upgrade. I want it to TOTALLY replace WPG--as in, WPG no
longer exists on my system.

Lots of luck. Photo Galley as the default viewer by design is build
into the OS and can't be deleted. Attempts to try to remove or disable
it will only make Windows more unstable than it already is. Ditto for
other Microsoft crap like Windows Explorer, Media Player, Movie Maker.
The best you can do is install and set up something else as the
default viewer.
I think it is damn funny that Microsoft won't let anyone easily
replace, delete or disable it's crap when they know damn well many of
the core elements in Windows suck.
