The error message 0x00000057 appears when I try to print a test page after
installing my printer directly to the computer USB port. The system shows
that the printer was automatically installed and set as the default. Though
it is an older printer(Epson Stylus C60) the printer checks show that it is
functional. I've also checked the Epson website and it is compatible with
Vista and all drivers needed are in the Vista inbox. Can anyone help with
troubleshooting? Thanks.

:) Hi Brenda. I am also having a problem with this error message with my
Epson Stylus C60 Printer. I just recently bought a Windows Vista laptop
and loaded the printer driver from disc and connected it via the USB
Port. It worked fine for a few weeks but I am now getting the same error
message as you - Printer Error 0x00000057. I can only assume it must
drive from and windows update which I have recently installed - though
which one I dont know. So if anyone can help then please let me and
Brenda know...Many thanks...cheers...Kieran
