Anyone know when the Vista Upgrade packs will be available in Canada?
I know I can buy from Microsoft direct but why should I pay $199.99
for something that sells for $154 from a retailer in the U.S. and has
free shipping? For some reason these retailers do not ship to Canada,
gee, I wonder why.

Thanks Microsoft, but I would rather do without.

Buy it on eBay. OEM FULL is about $100 US.
Make sure you buy from a reputable seller with plenty of + feedback.
If your concerned with MS' "support", don't be because it sucks.
You'll get far better support in this NG than you will get from MS.
If you have XP, I wouldn't bother at all. Wait for WIN 7.

Thanks for the information - I am running Vista Home Premium SP1 64bit
and I want to use it to access another silmilar system remotely
without going back to Windows XP Pro. :-)  The Anytime Upgrade to
Ultimate will allow me to upgrade without re-installing avoiding about
2-3 days work.

The Ebay does have some Full Retail Ultimate Vista packages being
auctioned off for around $110 and that does sound like a good deal as
it also does upgrades.  I just need to check if it also upgrades from
Vista Home Premium and like you said make sure the seller is
reputable.
