Hi,
Whenever I try to download an attachment on any email client (not
Windows Mail) in Internet Explorer 7, the download window opens and
stalls. The download size does not show or anything; it shows no
specific information but stays the same constantly.
-My computer is Windows Vista and I have Norton Antivirus installed.
Windows Defender is also activated. As far as I know, there are no
viruses/malware on the computer.
-Downloading works in Mozilla Firefox.
-I have an administrator account and a normal account. The problem
exists in both accounts.
I know I could just use Firefox, but the problem bothers me. Can
someone please help? Thanks!

It could well be Norton blocking it.

Go into norton anti-Virus, and turn off the email checking option.

I just found out that I can download picture files and pdf files,
regardless of whether Norton's email checking is turned on or off.
Microsoft Word files cannot do not work either way. Why is this?
