Now that I'm using Windows Vista Business, I am using the included Windows
Defender program.

What does Windows Defender defend against?

Spyware and Viruses?

How come it never finds anything?

Windows Defender defends your system gains spyware (see
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx ) It
is 'not' an anti virus application, so if your system doesn't have anti
virus software installed I suggest you install one pretty quickly. Some good
'free' anti virus applications are ; AVG Anti Virus
(http://free.grisoft.com) and Avast (http://www.avast.com)
