Whenever I open up the Task Scheduler, I get the following pop up windows
then, after clicking on the OK button, followed by
Everything seems to work OK and programmed things happen when they should as far as I can tell. I don't use Windows Media Centre very much as I do not have a TV tuner installed but otherwise it seems to work. No idea what the "Reminders - David" are - must be something I tried a while ago.
Does anyone have any suggestions how to put these right? I have a Dell desktop with OEM Vista Home Premium

If you look at your posting, you will see that the details which you thought
you had inserted do not show up. You may have to hand-type whet they say.

Hi Tony UK
When I look at my posting the pictures DO show up (I am viewing in Windows
Mail).
But the first one says "The task image is corrupt or has been tampered
with.mcupdate" and there is a button marked "OK" and nothing else.
And the second one is similar and says "The task image is corrupt or has
been tampered with.Reminders - David"

I have launched Task Scheduler for the first time today and I have received
the same error message as David's (i.e. .mcupdate). Apart from this,
programs appear to be working as scheduled. Any suggestions?

I solved my problems by doing a Google search for the words.
I then used windows explorer to navigate to
C:/Windows/System32/Tasks/Microsoft/Windows/Media Centre
and deleted mcupdate.
I don't know why this task was not visible in Task Scheduler but the above
procedure seems to have worked.

Many thanks David, that's done the trick.
