On my new vista install, I cannot see the image when viewing the files in
Windows Explorer .
Normally in thumbnail view I can see a small preview of the image file but I
just get generic icons to indicate an image file.
What can I do ?
Thanks,

Windows Vista - thumbnail view is by default activated.

Checkpoint:

1. Open Control Panel > Folder Options.

2. Under the View tab, "Always show icons, never thumbnails" controls whether to show
files in thumbnail or not.

3. Uncheck this option will allow you to view the files in thumbnail view.
