Hey guys this is my very first question here, be greatful if you could help
me out in anyway. I have a built in webcam on my Acer Aspire 9301.
First of all I have no idea what the webcam is called..how do I find this
out pls.
Secondly the sound seems fine when on playback, however I have been chatting
on Skype and I have been told the sound coming out at the other end of the
link is first very soft, they can hardlt hear it, and second its noisey, so
any advice pls.
One more thing I am a complete Novice when it comes to computers...so if
there is advice can it please be a step by step guide.
Thank yo

You are not speaking into the mic, or the mic settings are too low. Your
Sound app in control panel should adjust that.
You can identify the name of the camera by going to the start button, type:
devmgmt.msc
The "Imaging Device" is the camera.

Thank you for such a quick answer. it would appear my camera is a USB2.0, but
what make etc it does not say....just USB2.0 camera.
As for the sound I went into control panel and checked the sound problem and
it appears my mic setting seems to work ok and the sound is quite high..about
85
thanks again for your help
