I truned this off a while ago and since then I bought a $350 video card and
Aero still turns off when going to certain web pages and I want to find out
what is still causing this after such and expensive up grade to get so
little in return. So how do I turn this warning back on?  The card is an
8800GTX.

Thanks, Rich

Does Vista recognize your card? If it does, you should get a 5.9 on the
gaming graphics and the desktop graphics rating in "Performance Information
And Tools".

Yes I have that score for the video card. 5.2 for RAM,  5.9 graphics  and
5.9 for disk rater transfer, my lowest score is 4.0 for calculations per
second.

I'm not sure what the problem is. There's a couple of Vista hardware groups
in usenet. Also, I don't know who the manufacturer of your card is but they
might have a forum that can help. I know Evga does.

I don't know what the problem is either that's why I asked how to turn the
warning back on. I can't find it and help is like the yellow pages the
information is in there just hard to locate.

I've pretty much decided that it's Quicktime or QT extensions in
webpages that kill Aero here. Using Firefox as a browser. Happens with
QT video and audio on websites. May be your case as well.
