Does anyone know the correction to the following? When I do a scan on Mcafee
it always gets stuck on the following file;

c:\windows\winsys\x86_mic...9608184b1c699\dxtmsft.dll

I always have to shut down and restart, the same thing happens when I do a
scan on defender, just happens that you can't see the file which it gets
stuck on.
I have done the usual, check disk scan, clean cookies etc, mcafee
diagnostic, used all tools etc. nothing seems to help.
Otherwise computer works fine, if you have answer please put in simplest
terms as the computer is not my forte, thanks to anyone who can help

Try running the scan in Safe mode.  Start the computer and just prior to the
Windows logo, hit the F8 key.

If that doesn't work, uninstall McAfee and use AVAST.  AVAST is a million
times better than Norton or McAfee and it's FREE.

Quick web search seems to point to this being one of IE dll's.....some
conflicts when un/installing IE and also having Windows Defender running
at the same time.  If you have Windows Defender installed might be an
idea to shut it don and then rescanning.  :-)
