Disk Drive Not Reading

My issue baffles me because it is one disk not being read. It is a
gaming disk and I thought maybe it was the disk and not the drive so I
attempted to load my drive with two other different disks and it read
them both propery. So I took the original disk to exchange for another
and it still will not read it as if there is no disk in the drive.

Is there anything I can do to solve this issue since it appears to not
be the actual disk in question?

All depends on what you mean by "read" and that the disk drive actually
starts up when trying to read the disk......

.......if you mean run the software on the disk (either automatically or
manually) try using a file manager to view the disk's contents for
errata, help or other related type information.

If the file manager doesn't display the disk's contents, then you could
be running into copy protection or maybe a run of bad disks.

 *****  Optional step:

Open terminal window: Go to Start and type in command.exe in the Run field.
type the following:

cd <drive name>       do not include the brackets and replace drive name
with the actual name of the DVD/CD drive eg F:\

If it successfully switches over to the drive's directory then type:

dir

If no output on the screen appears, then you could be running into copy
protection or maybe a run of bad disks.

If screen output does appear then at least you know you have something
on the disk and you can view the disk's contents for errata, help or
other related type information.

If you have access to another computer, try installing on it.

If it install OK, then if possible, connect your drive to this computer
(or the other way around) and try installing again.

If it won't install on either unit then contact the software
manufacture's support department.
