Try this defrag tool insted of the one in vista, it is faster

This one is free and faster too. Easier to use than the one that blog
listed. Will defrag selected files, all files and free space.

But they are, Vade...
Just replace that 5-year old PC with a newer, bigger, faster one, and
you will have far fewer "problems", which aren't caused by Vista,
anyway.
