When I switch from user to user (there are two of us using the computer) it
takes a very long time.  Any suggestions?

It's possible one of the profiles is a bit corrupt. You could create two new
users, and copy the profile data over.
This was written for XP, but it's basically the same.

It's also possible you are simply using a lot of apps that take time to
close down. Open Task Manager while you switch, to see what is going on.
