How do i reinstall programs in my windows.old file after a reinstall of
windows vista home prem?

The setups for those apps write things to the registry that were not copied
there. You new registry needs those same registry settings, and you do not
have them. Reinstalling the app with its setup program is the only way, if
your registry was not 'upgraded' from the old system's registry.
