Can anyone help me with the following:

goes pale and I receive a message from DEP saying that it has automatically
closed the program.  When I click on further information, the following

a registry file can be created to allow a DEP exception to, for example,
'test.exe'
------------DVD exception.reg-------
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers]
"C:\\Test\\test.exe"="DisableNXShowUI"
-------------end file-------

("C:\\Test\\test.exe" is the file and its location.)

Did you Check for Solutions using the Problem Reports and Solutions Center
control panel?  I'm wondering if that had anything to say.  Plus it might
give you a bucket ID, which can be useful data.

Speaking for myself only.
