Hi. I reinstalled Vista last week, and since then everytime i try to restart
it, i get a black screen after windows is shutting down, and the power keeps
going ~ it's like in sleep mode but i can't do anything to turn it on again.

This didn't happen the first time i had vista installed.
And this is not happening when the pc requiers a restart after doing windows
updates.

Please help !

Try running this powercfg command

The hybrid sleep feature and the hibernation feature in Windows Vista may
become unavailable after you use the Disk Cleanup Tool :

If it is a machine like a Dell and you restored from their media this
should not happen, but if you formatted the drive and used Microsoft
media then you may be missing some motherboard drivers. These would have
been supplied with the motherboard, although they are probably out of
date in the CDs they should give you a clue where to look.
