In my Windows Vista, when I click on the Start bar, all of the programs I
have installed are gone.  I tried clicking to make it a classic start bar
like in Windows XP Pro, but that didn't help either.  I'm wondering if they
disappeared when I loaded SP1.  Can anyone tell me how to get my programs
back on the start bar?  I take them off my desktop so I can't access them.

"Start Bar"....do you mean the Start menu? or the Quick Launch Tool bar?

To show the Quick Launch tool bar, right click a blank area of the task bar
(what you call the "start bar").  Then choose "Toolbars" and "Quick Launch".

Not everything will be there unless installer programs offer to put a short
cut there, or you add shortcuts yourself.
