The only real solution is stop using Movie Maker. It's a well known
pile of crap. If you have any doubts, just check out the thousands of
similar complaints in the Microsoft video group.

If you're serious about doing videos, get decent video editing
software, and 90% of your problems will disappear immediately. I use
Sony's Vegas. Outstanding and unlike Microsoft, Sony knows a little
bit about moving making, now doesn't it. This product comes out of
their Madison Wisconsin division.

There are many YouTube tutorials some pretty decent quality that gives
you a feel for the program's power. I've recommended this application
hundreds of times and as yet haven't had any negative feedback, not
one, it is that good. The best of all words, powerful beyond anything
else out there, yes even equal to, some would say better than the far
more expensive Final Cut Pro on the Mac platform (which is also good)
but also relatively easy to use. Comes in many different versions from
a entry level packed with features for about $70 to the full blown
professional suite that costs many hundreds of dollars.

What's the fault data for this crash according to the Problem Reports and
Solutions Center control panel?
