I am extremely new to Vista. How do I get my windows to show with the 3d
angled look?

You must have a capable video card, most of them are today. If it is a new
installation, go to Welcome Center (in control panel), click "show more
details", and get a rating ("windows experience index") in the 'system'
category. After that, if your pc is up to it, your will get the Aero 3d look
and you can click the "switch between windows" icon at the bottom left, to
get the fancy "3d windows flip" thingy.
