I am trying to install the latest Vista Codec pack. Before that I will have
to remove the old version, but there is no uninstall.
What to do?

Delete the *.dlls for it. To find the installed codec:
Open Media Player, show the classic menu if not shown ((Ctrl-M), click Help
menu, About Media Player, Technical Support information.
Search for hidden or system files and delete them.

click the Ratings button. Voting helps the web interface.
