You have not supplied enough information. What program's 'auto arrange' are
you talking about. Some CAD program? Some word processor program? By
'notebook', did you really mean nodepad? Notepad has almost no formatting
capability. Wordpad has more. But neither one can auto arrange anything,
other than wrapping lines where possible to fit within the page.

That's a feature found only in word processors like Word. The closest
you can come is to open two or more instances of Notepad or WordPad
with the two or more documents you want to compare, then manually drag
and resize their windows one under or next to the other. You can
click to switch between windows and do normal editing, saving,
printing, cut&paste, etc. in one or the other but that's it.

If it is a list then open a command prompt and type
sort oldfile.txt /o newfile,txt
Type sort /? for help
