Hello. I am new here...
I keep getting these errors "Host process for windows services has stopped
working", and there are pop up windows that says 'BN... .tmp', DEP. I have
to stay on the computer coz if I leave it there's too many errors that says
BN...tmp. I have to close them or the computer will stop working. My task
manager is not greyed but when I press ALT+CTRL+ DEL it says
C:\Windows\System32\VDMDBG.dll, and I cant find 'gpedit.msc'. Pls help me.
Thanks in advance!

Let's see - you posted three times and still didn't give enough information
about your computer. Why do you want the Group Policy Editor? If you have
Vista Home Basic/Premium the Group Policy Editor isn't available. The GPE
isn't normally used to troubleshoot errors, anyway. You also need to post
the exact text of at least some of the error messages without paraphrasing.
"BN...tmp" can't be the whole thing. Try again - *once* - and this time
give us something to work with.

The First Question Of Troubleshooting: If the problem is new, what changed
between the time things worked and the time they didn't?

The Second Question of Windows Troubleshooting: what is the malware/virus
status of the machine? If you think it is clean, what programs (and
versions) did you use to determine this?

Be sure the computer is clean:

This error is relatively common on WXP systems too.  Its been going on for
years.  groups.google shows lots of suggestions to use various malware
scanners, sometimes in safe mode, but no definitive cause and fix for this
problem in the msnews.microsoft newsgroups.

I do see one link that claims to have a solution on a Vista system:
http://forums.techguy.org/windows-vista-7/560866-solved-host-process-foe-windows.html

This thread spans about 18 months, and the last entry claims to have the
cause and a solution.
