IE 7 not opening

I had a problem with my computer,and did a repair from my windows xp pro set
up disk.I did a windows update.Every thing now works ,except I cant open IE
7.
The message says " IE 7 encountered a problem & must close."
Please help.

The reason being,one must first uninstall IE7 before the repair,then after you
should reinstall it..

Just reinstall IE7.
