You need to fix the registry permissions using Microsoft's SubInACL utility.

After resetting the Permissions, try installing WICU.

Thanks again for your help. I have downloaded Windows Script 5.6, however,
during installation got the following message "INF Install Failure. Reason:
Access is denied." error. Any other suggestions?

It looks like the tool can be run in XP Home Edition also. Unfortunately, I don't have an XP Home Edition box to test it for you.
