Windows XP starts normally and I enter my id in the log on screen. The
computer then starts to boot up but returns back to the log on screen in
about 30 seconds. Does anyone have any suggestions please?

Tap the F8 key on pc start-up,select safe-mode,enter xp as administrator,
open user accounts, create a new user, open xp in new on restart. If all is
ok,the old account is corrupted, delete it..
