I was wondering if someone can help me? I am using windows
xp home ed. and I want to install IncrediMail. I first
installed it on my account and it works fine but when I go
to other accounts on the same computer I get a error
saying that IncrediMail caused an error and need to close.
so I uninstalled it and tried to install it on a different
account on the same computer and I get another error
saying that I do not have permission to change the
configuration on this drive please rerun under the
administrators account. both account are administrators
account. the it stops and I have to restart
incredimail.but it will still work on one account but not
on others.

Did you install IncrediMail in all user accounts in which you wished to use
it?  Many applications were not designed for this type of multi-user
environment which necessitates them being installed in each user account in
which it is going to be used.  It can be installed to the same folder but in
order to create the proper pointers it requires this separate installation
in each user account.

I cant install it on the other account because i get, you
do not have permission to change the configuration on this
drive please rerun under the administrators account. It is
an administrators account also.

Ah, sorry, I missed that in your original post.

In your attempt to accomplish the install, did you use fast user switching
to get to the other account or did you reboot and log into the other account
in which you were trying to install the application?

If you only used fast user switching to get to the other account, log off
both accounts, reboot and log into the other account and try the install
again.

Note, if this works, you still may not gain access to Incredimail when using
fast user switching as many applications are not compatible with this
function which means you would need to reboot and log in to the other
account in order to gain full function.

I'm really not sure why this is happening.  Please go to the following link,
scroll the list on the left of the page to security_admin and try posting
your question there as that is the most appropriate board for the question
and you are more likely to find other's who have dealt with this issue
before and possibly have an answer for you:
