Says it was shut down improperly (even though I hadn't
shut it down). Now, when I try to open it, it just
shows: Outlook express was improperly shut down - and
then it closes completely. How can I correct this or
start all over? thanks

Also, you may want to post this message in the Outlook Express newsgroup.
They may have some other suggestions for fixing this problem.
