IE6 error

my problem is in installing ie6. when it starts installing
i get this error.  
The software you are installing has not passed Windows
Logo testing to verify its compatability with windows xp.
This software will not be installed. Contact your system
administrator.

any help appreciated

You don't need to install IE6 as that is the version of Internet Explorer
that Windows XP ships with. There are some updates for IE6 at the Windows
Update site. Once of the service packs is known to give the error message
you're seeing. If this applies, see the following article:
