sound problems

I have "Windows Media Player" and an installed "Roxio Audio Central"
program. My glitch, is I do not get sound on the installed program, any
sounds when on the interet, or any XP games like solitair or freecell. I
do
get sound when I use the Windows Media Player. Those other applications
where I do not get sound, I do get an electronic click sound, like sound
is
trying to happen..............any thoughts on this situation?

You need to contact Roxio an/or the makers of any other players.
