Access to MY DOCUMENTS after SECURITY UPDATE in WINDOWS XP

I can retrieve and save WORD Docs .... but can only
retrieve other file formats ..... and cannot save them to
MY DOCUMENTS .... WHY?

What? Please explain this in more detail. As written, it says you can
retrieve files of various formats normally. Is that what you meant to say?

Need more details on this too. What happens when you try to save files to
My Documents? Not all programs default to My Documents in their save dialog
screens. Some will default to the last folder that a file was saved to.

Can you double click on My Documents and open the folder successfully? Is
the folder using the default location or has it been moved? If moved, how
was it moved?

I can open files from MY DOCUMENTS into a number of
programmes no problem

I can open WORD and retrieve docs .... work on them and
then save them as the same or rename and save .... just
as before ...

In Lotus I can open the programme retrieve docs from the
same directory as for my Word Documents .... work on them
but I am denied access to the My Documents folder to save
them ( as original or renamed ) .......... I have created
a new directory and directed Lotus to use this as the
default directory ............ but I get the same results!

Everything was working Fine until the update.
