switch user screen comes up after exiting screensaver

for some reason, when i move the mouse to exit my
screensaver, the switch user screen comes up, instead of
just a small window that pops up (with my desktop
background visualized in the background) asking for my
password...

i think i accidently hit a button on my keyboard to
switch it to that option, but what key it was, i have no
idea, and now i can't change it back...

Right click the desktop and select Properties. On the screensaver page of
display properties, uncheck the box requiring a log on after a resume.

Look for a similar setting in Control Panel> Power Options> Advanced. If
found, uncheck the box there as well.
