i sucessfully installed sp2 last night but now i can't
access to the internet.

i am using alcatel usb modem. the light is green which
indicates the modem is ok. but there is no data flow at
all in both directions.

i have tried shut down zonealarm since the security
centre in control panel said 2 firewalls might create
conflict.

Can someone please help me? thanks

If you have WinXP do this go to C:\Windows\system32\repair\

In the repair folder is a file named secsetup (it has a wheel with teeth)
right click on it and click install. It will reconfigure your settings to
connecto Internet.
