I have been having a lot of trouble with my computer! I
am unable to connect to the internet. I have checked all
possible connection problems that could be due to service
provider, modem, cable, ect. All seem to be fine.

Whenever I boot my computer I receive a "support tuner"
error message. Does anybody know what this is referring
to?

Also, I have tried running maintanence to fix or replace
any programs or files with errors. Another
possible "clue" to the problem is that my computer will
not defragment. It will not even start the defragmenting
process.

If anybody could lend any advice, I would be very
appreciative.

Thanks!!

Support Tuner is not a part of XP. Perhaps it's something added by computer
manufacturer?

Until you get this fixed, you should be able to disable the program via the
startup page of the System Configuration Utility. To open that program:
Start> Run> MSCONFIG.
